Description: China has become the world’s largest emitter of greenhouse gases (GHGs) and will increasingly become key to global solutions for climate action. In this webinar, panelists provide a brief overview of China’s emerging carbon accounting policy, and new initiatives underway. Dr. Feng An, Executive Director of iCET, will describe emerging efforts to build capacity and recognize leadership in a voluntary way, unique for China’s political context, through the launch of the Energy & Climate Registry for China. With a growing number of requests for supply chain disclosures from large corporations (with supply chains in China), as well as emissions associated with products (many manufactured in China), this will be an important tool for China’s future.
