Nova Scotia

Climate Change Centre

The Climate Change Centre, a division of Clean Nova Scotia, is responsibile for a number of public education and outreach programs in Nova Scotia about climate change and other energy issues. By working with schools, and community, faith and First Nations groups, among others, the Climate Change Centre is reaching out to people province-wide to help them learn ways to incorporate energy efficiency and climate change initiatives in their everyday lives.

Climate-Smart Program

Climate-Smart is public/private sector partnership aimed to help municipalities integrate greenhouse gas emission reductions and climate change impact and adaptations into the decision making process. Climate-Smart will help HRM and its partners develop management and planning tools to prepare for climate change impacts, and to develop strategies to reduce practices that contribute to global warming.
