The Pollution Prevention Division administers a wide range of programs, legislation and activities which are designed to protect the environment in the Province. These include: air quality, protection of the ozone layer, management of hazardous wastes, litter, beverage containers, petroleum storage tanks, used oil, tires, lead-acid batteries, derelict vehicles, excavation pits, unsightly properties, and special projects
