Saskatchewan

The Government of the Province of Saskatchewan is involved in a number of activities related to climate change. These include: public education and outreach, energy conservation and emissions reduction, carbon sequestration, research and development and adaptation to climate change impacts.

Coordination of climate change policy and programs is the joint responsibility of Saskatchewan Industry and Resources (SIR) and Saskatchewan Environment (SE). A committee of stakeholders has been established to advise SIR and SE on policy and program development. Many other provincial departments and agencies develop and administer climate change related policies and programs.
