CRIS Data Upload Service

Would you like help uploading your data to CRIS?

The Climate Registry is now offering Members a low cost service to streamline the process of uploading data from your own internal software to the Climate Registry Information System (CRIS) – the CRIS Data Upload Service. The service greatly reduces the time required to enter data into CRIS and minimizes data entry errors.

How does it work?

The Registry provides you with an Excel template that you complete with the data you want to upload to CRIS. By providing information on facilities and sources you can create a Physical Inventory, and by providing one year of emissions data you can create an Emissions Inventory.

You can use the template to report at the facility and/or the source level. Registry staff will upload the data to CRIS and let you know when you can review it.

Who should use it?

The service is intended for any large organization that collects their GHG emissions data in other systems or spreadsheets and would like a more efficient way to transfer the information to CRIS.

How much does it cost?

The cost of the service is based on whether you upload information at the facility or the source level. Once facilities and sources have been created in CRIS, you only need to upload your emissions data.

Facility Level Source Level
Upload Physical Inventory Data $750 $1000
Upload Emissions Inventory Data $2000 $2500

How long does it take?

Once you submit the template to The Registry, it generally takes two to four weeks to upload the data and make it available for review.
