TRAINING SESSIONS
MassDEP is offering a series of webinars for regulated facilities in preparation for the April 15, 2011 deadline to report greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in accordance with the Massachusetts Mandatory GHG Reporting Regulation, 310 CMR 7.71. Please note that these trainings cover material similar to what was presented in the 2010 webinar training series. Please also note that these training sessions will not cover the reporting requirements for Retail Sellers of electricity subject to 310 CMR 7.71(9).
MassDEP’s GHG Reporting Regulation Requirements & Using The Climate Registry’s General Reporting Protocol
This training will assist facilities with the requirements of MassDEP’s Mandatory GHG Reporting Regulation (310 CMR 7.71) and the quantification methodologies of The Climate Registry’s General Reporting Protocol.

MassDEP Electronic GHG Registry – MA GHG Registry
This training will assist facilities use the Massachusetts Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Registry electronic reporting system and cover:
• Necessary information for reporting emissions
• How to create other contacts (users) and grant access to others
• How to create and enter the necessary facility information
• How to enter & edit emissions activity data
• How to submit data to MassDEP
• How to run and view emissions reports
• Common questions and troubleshooting

MassDEP Verification Training for Facilities
The purpose of this training is to assist Massachusetts facilities reporting their greenhouse gas emissions to MassDEP in understanding the verification process.

MassDEP Verification Body Training
An organization that intends to provide verification services for the MassDEP GHG reporting program must be:
1. Accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to ISO 14065:2007.
2. Recognized by The Climate Registry.
3. Aware of all relevant provisions of the MassDEP mandatory greenhouse gas reporting regulation, 310 CMR 7.71 (1) through (8).
All lead verifiers that intend to provide services for the MassDEP GHG Reporting Program must:
a. Read and understand 310 CMR 7.71(1) through (8)
b. Take this webinar training for Verification Bodies.
