Appendix Development Process
In 2009, The Registry developed its appendix to the Local Government Operations (LGO) Protocol, a program-neutral greenhouse gas (GHG) protocol that is designed to allow local governments to quantify and report GHG emissions resulting from their operations. The LGO Protocol and Registry-specific appendix were adopted by The Registry’s Board of Directors on June 2, 2009.
The Registry would like to thank the following contributors to the appendix:
- Local Government Operations Workgroup,
- Wastewater Treatment Technical Expert Panel, and
- Solid Waste Technical Expert Panel.
The Registry’s Draft LGO Protocol Appendix was available for public comment from in the spring of 2009. Several stakeholders submitted comments which are presented below:
